So. Quality of skill players doesn't matter?

You have a great team
Rub it in. What's happening on the field hurts worse than your jibes. =)

I was thinking of WR Harrison and TE Clark
For the Patriots-Colts regular season game last year, Patriots offensive linemen Neal, Kaczur, Hochstein and Matt Light were all injured going into the game. So were several other key players on both sides of the ball.
Yeah, we know the injury story well.

Brady is a the best QB in the league, PERIOD. He is good enough to make the players around him better. Take the Super Bowl team from 2004. Branch is the only WR that makes the team today(and that's a big maybe) I'll take the bunch we have today over any trio in the league!
Now, look at what Manning did last night. Because of terrible special teams play, the Colts had to play from behind. This takes Addai out(whom, other than Manning and Wayne was the only play maker on the field). Now, Manning has to go with sub-par receivers(paid professionals mind you), and he looks like f'n David Carr. Lets just say that Brady, in this situation, given lemons, truly would have made lemonade(should have won the game in Indy 2007). Manning, on the road, in a Playoff type atmosphere, threw a career high six interceptions. This was the worst game of his career. I think that Dungy, trying to be cute was the reason they lost the game. Dungy actually iced his own kicker. Given the fact that they had a fourth down and goal to go, they should have kicked that f'n field goal. Yeah you give the ball back to the Chargers, however did they even have a first down in the 2nd half? They had zero time outs, and really did anyone think they could get down the field and score? This was a case of really bad play, and really bad coaching by, what is supposed to be the best Coach/QB tandem in the entire NFL. Did anyone realize that Manning threw 2 more pics than Brady has thrown all year? To quote Ralph Wigham: "Hah-Hah, my cat's breath smells like cat food" Manning and Dungy deserved to loose this game. I kind of felt bad for Adam.......NOT!
Another thing. Did you see that Favre threw a 17 yard TD, up 27-0, with five minutes to go? Have you heard from anyone that this was a clear case of "RUNNING UP THE SCORE"? Talk about a double standard, kinda makes me sick to my stomach. Oh well I'll take the three game lead on the "Dolts" though. Any word on Freeney? Wont miss that cat.

I agree that 'shallow' overstates it
By the same token, "never played the game" is hyperbole extraordinaire.
Then there's the whole issue of Patriots having major injury issues over the last several years and people alleging the Patriots injury reports were not believable. Last season, we saw the Colts enter every game with a dozen or more players listed on their injury, which we here swallowed with a good dose of skepticism. Now the injuries are real. Is that karma, Kramer?
