great photo
It really shows just how much of a beast Mankins is.  I bet he could carry Brady around the field in that same pose.

RE:
Hmmm ... anyone else notice the SI has the wrong final score?

No, I did not
But you are correct. I've done that a few times myself, but I don't get paid boatloads, and I have no copy editors. Nice catch. (They've fixed it on their site.)

It looks like...
...the wrote the headline before that final TD and pulled the trigger a little too quickly in an attempt to get a jump on the competition.

It's not the first time they've done that, either.

Congratulations
To the Pats.  We gave it all we had but couldn't quite make it happen.  At least we gave you all you wanted.

A game like this is probably good for both teams.  The G-Men can now realize that they have the potential to beat any team.  The Bucs will have a lot to think about this week.

The Pats needed someone to push them to play their best.  A 48 to 7 yawner wouldn't have benefited either team.

Hey, maybe we'll meet again in the Super Bowl?  I can dream, can't I?

On behalf of the Patriots, Thanks
(I should be so presumptuous.)

Heck, I think most of the fans wanted the Giants to lay down as they prepared for the playoffs. While I agree a game like this is better for the teams, it's stressful on the fans. But you're right. It's all that much sweeter to know you can handle other teams' best games on the road.

If the Giants keep playing like that and don't pull a Baltimore .. well, there's a lot of football between now and then. Good luck against Tampa.

Oh, I can't wait to see the TV rating numbers.

There's a decent chance...
...we will meet again in the Super Bowl. The Giants were 7-1 on the road this year, and unless they end up hosting Washington/Minnesota/New Orleans in the NFC title game, they'll be playing all their playoff games on the road.
