Here's a couple links for you to chew on while I do some research and writing:
CBS Sportsline's Pete Prisco ranks the Top 50 current NFL players. The New England Patriots have three on his list: quarterback Tom Brady (No. 2) and defensive ends Richard Seymour (No. 11) and Ty Warren (No. 43).
Patriots honorable mentions were cornerback Asante Samuel, defensive tackle Vince Wilfork and offensive guard Logan Mankins.
How about that? The entire Patriots defensive line in the top 60-ish.
Also, Sports Illustrated's Peter King ranked the 32 expected 2007 starting quarterbacks in his Monday Morning Quarterback column. No surprise: He picks Peyton Manning first, Brady second.
Stay tuned. In the coming days, I'll tell you why Brady is far and above the better QB.
