The Quest for the Holy Grail

We are nearing the end of the road that is rarely traveled. The Patriots are on a quest for the holy grail off the NFL, the perfect season. When I think about the magnitude of the stakes that are involved in the outcome of the superbowl, I realized that it is in all likely hood  a once in a lifetime experience.  The Patriots could be the camelot in the world of football. They only need to pull the sword out of the rock and be crowned the true King of the NFL.

At the jumping off point
This is where history gets made one way or another, with the Pats forcing themselves into contention as the greatest team of all time.  When they pull that sword out and pull this last win off, they won't be able to be dismissed anymore by any credible authority.

From all that I've read, including "Education of a Coach", and "Moving the Chains", nobody recognizes the historical significance of exactly where the Patriots stand and exactly what they have within reach right in front of them, more than Belichick and Brady.  I honestly can't see it in either of their characters to let this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity happen without an all-out fight of their lives.

This 2007 team will live on one way or another. My guess is they'll continue in the same way as they have all season -- the Patriot way.  With that going for them, how can they lose?

Keep the faith!

Education of a coach
I read it to, great book. It not only describes Belichick's  methodical genius, it tells us that this was not an accident, Belichick was born to be a NFL coach.
