Postgame Thread: Patriots defeat Denver, 41-7

Here's your postgame thread.  Pats absolutely torch the Broncos and the defense did what it needed to do to shut down Cutler.

Good win

…but the cost of victory is what concerns me more right now. Hated to see Harrison getting carted off, and Hobbs was wincing as he was helped off the field at one point. On the plus side, Sanders and Merriweather looked like they played well in coverage, but obviously we’d love to have as many of our experienced guys healthy as we can field right now!

a good win

I think we needed a soft defense to build our offensive momentum. There are still some concerns on all sides (too many sacks, Cutler still got some pretty good throws out), but got to give credit to the defense for forcing turnovers and the running game was spectacular. Also, we didn’t give up any big plays, which you don’t notice when it doesn’t happen but I think it was huge.

To add

Except for one by wilfork, we were very disciplined with the penalties.

Wow.

Didn’t see a blowout coming. Great win for the team. Cassel still looked shaky at times, but I can see improvement in his decision-making and his confidence rising. Glad to see touchdowns instead of fieldgoals tonight. The running game was absolutely stellar. I hope Sammy isn’t banged up too bad, but BenJarvis and Kevin took up the slack in the second half. The defense played well, but I wonder how much Cutler’s injury on the first play had to do with that. All in all, it was a good night.

That really got out of hand

I mean that really escalated quickly! Brick killed a guy!

Proud supporter of Randy going for 300, even next year.
