Brady's Knee -- 3rd time's a Charm
Listening to the radio this morning, I learn that Brady's knee has undergone a 3rd attempt at "cleaning" out the infection that plagued the area. The Herald is reporting that if the knee does not begin to heal properly, doctors will have to go in and REDO the entire reconstruction.. WTF!!! This is beginning to sound more like the south after the Civil War -- RECONSTRUCTION. By the time he's finished going under the knife he will have had more surgeries than Joan Rivers . Should I be panicking?? Is everything under control?? How will this affect his approach to contact in a game? I'd love to say I'm not worried, but I am.

you beat me by 2 minutes!
I’m still not worried though. This type of thing is pretty common, even if the entire procedure has to be re-done. If this was December and the doctors still can’t get a handle on the infection (which can happen also), then I’ll be concerned.

Hopefully
all will be well and the infection is eradicated. Found another article on Profootball talk.com

yeah, I read that too
But you have to consider the source, not only with the Herald, but with Mike Florio at PFT. Could Brady’s training camp readiness be jeopardized if he has a new ACL installed in January? Well, yes… but where did the January date come from? It’s all speculation right now, and there’s enough to worry about with the Rams game on Sunday without the services of Rodney Harrison, Sammy Morris and LaMont Jordan.

I didn't know
that Brady opted to have his operation performed by a doctor that his family preferred in California rather than the team doctor. I understand the whole 2nd, 3rd, 4th, opinion thing, but isn’t the team doctor a specialist in such matters. I’m sure Brady’s doctor is an authority on such surgeries as well, but still, why not choose the team doctor?? Is it common for players on the Pats to seek out their own doctors as opposed to using the team one?
