In a blatant act of pure homerism, I simply could not let this one go without acknowledging how sublimely inspired the folks at Sporting News truly are.  Following on the heals of yet another playoff berth for our Red Sox, Boston has been named Best Sports City by Sporting News.  There's actually a rhyme to their reasoning, taking into account won-lost records, post season appearances, power rankings and fan attendance.  Clearly, an inspired group of folks at Sporting News.
