Win Or Lose
...Belichick rules!!
Over the last 3 weeks Matt Cassel has thrown 1 TD and 3 interceptions. Tom Brady would have thrown 10 TD's and zero interceptions over that same stretch.
Brady Quinn threw more TD's in the first 10 minutes of his first professional start than Cassel has thrown in the past 3 games.
Moss is on pace for lower numbers than he had in his first season while with the Raiders.
The Patriots beat a great San Diego team twice last year. This year they lost to a LOUSY San Diego team.
Against the Jets, San Diego, San Fran, St Louis, Indy, and Buffalo ……Matt Cassel threw 2 total touchdowns in those five games. With two of the best weapons in the game.
You're not grooming your future QB in New England. You are grooming a QB for another team. Matt Cassel will be gone next year and Brady will be back. The progression of Matt Cassel has more to do with Belichick and the game plan. It has more to do with the Patriots schedule being so easy. He has had the time to get comfortable playing the chumps of the league. Belichick is not asking him to do much. It's been dink and dunk. He threw 7 touchdowns and 3 were against the worst defense in the league,....the Broncos. You know the Bronco's the team that made a pathetic Kansas City Chiefs offense look like the 80's Forty Niners. In the other 8 games against mediocre teams Cassel has 4 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Bilichick is taking it slow. Building the confidence of Cassel against these terrible teams. The easy schedule allows for a "one step at a time approach". The old walk before you can run attitude. The schedule allows Bill to win without showing all his cards. When you least expect it, when the time is right, when you need it the most. Bill will pull out all the stops.
It simply won't be enough.

I read the comments first. Now I have wasted little time. Thanks StandingPat! This guy has never had anything to say that was actually worth hearing.

Pat
I’m just trying to help you from having your heart broken,……AGAIN!! Temper your enthusiasm until you see Cassel play well against some quality opponents. That is all I am saying.

Pleaaaaaase!
Tell me? What is my message? I just call them like I see them. I think there are a lot of great things to say about the Patriots, the fans of New England, and the Boston sports scene. There are plenty of great things to say and much to look forward to. No need to get carried away. No need to go overboard. Let’s keep it grounded so I can keep my sanity.

You've talked about the schedule before
But the league isn’t the same as last year. How many quality, really tough teams are out there this season? With the exception of our rematch in Miami, the Phins could run the board if you look at who they’ve got left to play. If they do, does it make their record any less impressive, especially when you consider their 1-15 debacle of a season in 2007?
Keep the faith!

You're making my point.
How many quality, really tough teams are out there this season?
Matt Cassel will not be ready for playoff football. An easy schedule is nice and the final record will look impressive,……but who have the Patriots beat. In the last two weeks Matt Cassel has had all the time in the world to throw the ball and not a touchdown to show for it. What’s going to happen against the Ravens in round one??? The Ravens gave Brady a hard time last year in a regular season game, what do you think they’ll do against Cassel in a playoff atmosphere? We will see how much pocket presence he has then. He might be awesome and come up huge and I’ll tip my cap. What I’m saying is that throwing zero touchdowns against the Bills and Colts with all the time in the world is not a reason to get excited about the development. Showing confidence against a team (Bills) that he (Cassel) has personally seen his team beat 9 times in a row TELLS ME NOTHING.

It's a shame you
can’t ban the IP address so we can be rid of him and his garbage. By the way, how ‘bout dem Cowboys? Last in their division, aren’t they?

You're right
The Cowboys are horrible. Could you imagine Belichick coaching this team how good they would be. Our head coach walks around with Benny Hill music playing in the back round. It’s ridiculous. Tony Romo can’t hold on to the ball. We pick up the leagues misfits and expect them to have the heart of champions. We play in a tough division. We are one of the most penalized teams in the league. Having said all that the Patriots are ONE GAME BETTER,……and that is all. One game better while playing the Bills and The Dolphins of the world.

Last time I looked,
the Bills and Dolphins have the same record as the Cowboys. Now with the AFC being that weak, in your “voice of reason”, sounds like both of them have a better chance of making the playoffs than Dallas.
You are one arrogant SOB to come here knowing your opinions are not wanted or valued. I have wasted my last minute responding to your obnoxious trash. You are no better than the trolling spammer that wandered through here this week. As a matter of fact, you’re worse because you don’t have a site to push. Just utterly sad.

Easy on your heart.
Why are you getting all upset for. You have this big blue vein throbbing on your forehead. That can’t be good for you. This is what it’s is all about. I tell you that you’re crazy. You tell me I’m crazy. I laugh at you when you lose. You laugh at my coach, and on and on it goes.
