Dammit.

The defense was extremely disappointing at the end of that game. On the bright side, Matt Cassel drove the team for a game-tying touchdown and was pretty damn good tonight.

argh

Yeah, totally agree. Was nice to see Cassel and the offense continue to fight after the lopsided first half and the early fumble in the 3rd quarter. Was also nervous when Belichick kicked it away with 2:30 left in the 4th, but the hurry-up looked real good save for the false start.

But on both the Jets last drive in regulation and their OT drive, those 3rd down conversions right up the gut killed us.

I just reviewed some of the highlights on NFL.com

…and that block by Randy Moss with about 2 minutes left in the half to allow the Pat TD was really sweet. I do believe Randy has found a home with the Pats where he cares more about team than about self.

I hope for his sake that he keeps that state of mind (and soul).

May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.

also really telling

was the way he was the first to jump all over Watson on his TD grab, even though he only had one grab on the drive himself. He looked genuinely happy to be celebrating the team success at that moment, not any individual accomplishment.

The comeback was awesome...

…Cassel looked great, but the end was disappointing. It worked to clear everyone out of the house pretty quickly though.

Keep the faith!

yeah, Cassel was impressive in a couple of time-management situations

They get forgotten when they’re not at the end of a winning game, but his 2nd qtr one was very good. He’s trouble for us Non-Pats. :)

You guys have an awesome O line..

..the Jets never got any real pressure on Cassel. He could have pulled out the playbook and reviewed the play to make sure he had it right on nearly every snap. Also, the game wouldn’t have been as close as it was without Belechik “schooling” his former pupil Mangini all night long. If anyone is looking for Mangini after the game he is out back, behind the woodshed rubbing his sore ass.

Maybe Brady gets "Bledsoed" by Matt Cassel..

..wouldn’t that be a hoot. :)

big diff being

when brady took over for bledsoe, the expectations and performance of the pats weren’t “all that”, and now, the expectatons of Cassel are a bit high. Yet, he’s RISING to them. That’s what makes it special. All I can say is “STay tuned, folks!!”
