Something's gotta give (Banks' Pioli to Lions article)
Pioli – great with personnel decisions, long term franchise thinker.
Lions – franchise with a very tough string of hard luck and trouble putting together consecutive winning seasons, punctuated by some unfortunate draft choices in the past decade (Rogers, Mike Williams)
If we don’t hold onto Pioli, I’d at least be curious in seeing what he can do for Detroit. Pull them up out of the depths, or would he get pulled down in stature? I’d rather keep him in Foxborough for a long long time though :)
