GameThread: Patriots @ Dolphins
New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins, Nov 23, 2008 1:00 PM EST

Here we go! Our 6-4 Patriots battle it out with the 6-4 Dolphins. A rejuvenated Miami, the 1-15 days gone, has come back to life and done some damage to unsuspecting foes. On the flip side, our banged up Patriots are doing a heck of a job showing what they're made of. From BenJarvus Green-Ellis to Gary Guyton, the young guys are showing why Bill Belichick is the greatest NFL coach on the planet. Can you say depth? I knew you could.
It's all about a playoff berth, sports fans. Let's jam the upstarts and cage the Wildcat. Bring on the 'Fins!! Head on over to The Phinsider to get the Fins fan perspective.

Zebras
Are doing OK, but have made two poor calls on Pats. The roughness on Bruschi was ludicrous, as he barely touched a guy who appeared to be heading for the end zone (like a guy at field level can see he stepped three inches out of bounds) and the hold on Koppen was weak as it was nothing both teams haven’t done multiple times already.
Hey all
What a game! Turnovers helped the Phins, Vince is a beast, Moss is Moss, Cassel looks unbelievable. considering we spotted Miami a couple of free drives, i’ll take the 3 point lead at the half
I have no idea why they put a rookie ref out on a game that means so much to each team
Keep the faith!
Penalties and turnovers

An 88 yard drive for a TD, after forcing a punt. That undoes the Fins first possession of the half, wrong-foots their offense and flips the momentum. Big. Huge.

Well, a combination of things
1st, Crowder (mia LB) who was having a great day, was also running his mouth a la Jerry Porter.
At the FG attempt, Crowder submarined on Light, who ripped Crowder’s helmet off. Crowder threw a shot at Light, who had a hold on Crowder’s dreds, and used them as a handle while winging a coupla fairly harmless haymakers at his head. They both got ejected, w/ offsetting penalties.

If Light gets a suspension
so should Crowder. There’s no reason to submarine a lineman on a field goal attempt.
Ted Ginn, while a better-than-good athlete, wasn't even the best receiver on his college team.
He got all the press, but the Colts drafted the real deal from that Ohio State squad: Anthony Gonzales, Rhodes Scholar candidate and all-world slot receiver.
Ginn: over-hyped, average hands, poor route runner.

Nice to see him and Evans in the "I"
with the heavies up front, that’s a grind out the clock deal I can get behind.

O-line, still teeing off on folks.
Here we go: Evil Patriots run up the score. Joey Porter is pissed. You disrespect Joey Porter, bitchez! Joey Porter doesn’t forget! You can’t get away with that weak stuff with Joey Porter!

So much for the "disciplined" Dolphins.
Papa Tuna isNOT going to like this display at all. I wonder what, and to whom, Porter said to get the dead ball foul.
I did lol at the announcers though
“…we’re wondering what Joey said. Because we know he said something.”
