Pats Pulpit hits half a million page views!!

Ok, there won't be a ticker tape parade and most likely, I won't get a call from the president or the president elect.  But this is cool.  Pats Pulpit has grown steadily because of informed sports fans wanting something more than the mainstream media provides.  Of, by and for the fans is SBNation's motto and I truly believe it.  Every day, I'm truly blown away by this community.  The knowledge you all have keeps me coming back for more.  So much to learn...

I would be remiss if I didn't thank bloggers Brian Galliford from Buffalo Rumblings and BigBlueShoe from Stampede Blue.  Aside from being maniacal fans of their teams, they have been a huge help to me while I've become a member of the SBNation family.  Good people.  Props to both of you.

I'd especially like to thank Pats Pulpit co-writers Marima for her tireless scouring of the Internet, thus creating the most complete list of New England Patriots links on the planet and JohnHannahRules for his ridiculously stellar writing.  This site is that much better because you're a part of it.

I think I have something in my eye... ;-)

Give this man a raise!

Great job. I thought this site was history after tommasse left, and it would have been a shame leaving the fans with no other landing place like it online. Thanks again for swooping in to the rescue. Good thing you didn’t know what you were in for when you signed up, eh?

Keep the faith!

Too kind.

Sorry I haven’t been carrying much water lately.

As Mr. Sloan always says, there is no "I" in team, but there is an "I" in pie. And there's an "I" in meat pie. Anagram of meat is team... I don't know what he's talking about. --Shaun of the Dead

Oh, shuckles.

If you want to convince your boys to throw a W my team’s way in Week 17 for “all the work I did helping you out”, we’d appreciate it.

But seriously, I did practically nothing. You’ve put a good blogging team together here, MaPatsFan (and you do OK yourself ;) ). Keep up the good work.

Congrats MaPatsFan

and to ALL the contributors to this page! (even Shake & Bake LOL)
I don’t post to much because I feel there is a lot more knowledgeable people on here than me, but I hit this page a lot during the day looking for updates, I think it’s great and appreciate the effort put into it.

Congrats to the Pulpit!

You’ll always get a hit from me. I really enjoy the way this place is run.

I'll take credit for that

I’m always lurking you never know where I’m at. Just waiting for you to say something dumb I can criticize. Since the change over I’ve struggled to do such things. It’s quite disappointing. You all are supposed to be idiots.

Let's go Colts!

I'm sure I won't disappoint

How’s this one: Peyton’s a choke artist. There, I said something utterly stupid and dumb.

Congrats!

You all have an excellent site. I have learned alot about the Pats since I started visiting. (Know thy enemy and all of that – lol) Seriously, everyone does a great job over here.

Congrats!

I’ve only been here for a few weeks now, but I’ve appreciated the level of discourse that occurs here. It’s nice to have a place to intelligently discuss football with other Pats fans and bloggers from other teams, where all the posts contribute to the conversation and you don’t have to weed through tons of comments from trolls and flame-war types.

Thanks!

This is exactly what I’ve been hoping for, to be honest. I don’t mind a little back and forth, but it doesn’t need to get ugly. You hit the nail on the head with “intelligently discussing” football. In the end, you will get more respect expressing yourself well and with respect for others. P.S. I always enjoy your writing, btw.

what I really like

is that on this site, the regular posters all seem to keenly understand that, rightfully or not, we help represent Patriots fans. We’re all keenly aware that the Pats are far from popular right now, but unlike some other sites where it devolves into grammatical nightmares about 3 comments into any thread with f-bombs and arrogance, everyone here is articulate and enjoys talking with the fans from other teams. Things get passionate but never ugly here. Hopefully the fans from other blogs recognize this too and we can show people that our fan base is no different from theirs; dedicated, loyal, smart, and really into football.
