FOXBOROUGH -- Patriots RB Sammy Morris, who has been sidelined with a knee injury, took some time this morning on the Gillette Stadium field to continue his rehab with assistant strength and conditioning coach Harold Nash.
Morris, who was wearing a brace over his left knee, appears to be making progress. Wearing shorts and a blue Patriots jacket, he was seen sprinting and making light cuts back and forth.
While Morris is doubtful for today's game and the feeling here is that he will not play, his presence on the field this morning -- along with CB Lewis Sanders (hamstring) -- could be an indication that he is nearing a return in the coming weeks.
