The League Office Hates the Patriots
The League Office Hates the Patriots (And the Bucs too.)
Moving the Jets-Dolphins game is a travesty, a farce and a greater punishment that the loss of a draft pick.
I can't believe a bigger deal isn't being made out of the league's decision to screw the Patriots in the playoff chase by moving the Jets-Dolphins game to the later time-slot on Sunday. Concurrent games for teams who's results effect each other are the only way to be fair (FIFA - the World Soccer organization knows this which is why the finals of group stages are always done concurrently.)
If you're going to move one game for TV purposes, the only fair thing to do is to move the other game as well.
I'm not saying that the Jets are going to deliberately throw the game, but it's human nature to let down when you don't have anything to play for.*
This is truly classless by the NFL and it's a shot to the Patriot playoff chances.
*I know the Jets go to the playoffs if they win and the Jags win at Baltimore. But when's the last time a good home team who needed a win for a playoff berth lost to a below .500 road team playing for nothing. This is unrealistic.

I'll whine a little bit with you.
How about having to play Pittsburgh, Seattle, and Oakland as they came into the game on 10 days rest? At least we were able to win 3 out of 4 on our 2 west coast swings.
Number one thing Sunday will be taking care of business in Buffalo, because if we can’t win our game, then the others are rendered moot.
Second, the Jets beat the Dolphins and they still have a shot if the Ravens lose, so it’s not like they have nothing to play for. Of course, with the head coach making idiot calls like he did last Sunday in Seattle, he won’t neccessarily be giving the game away on purpose. He needed to be mentored a while longer by Belichick because he evidently did not learn how to finish the other team off or how to give your own team a chance to win. Ya think BB would go 4th and 4 from his own 20 with 2:25 on the clock and all 3 timeouts? Mangini didn’t learn that stupidity from his time in New England. I’d wager a months salary on it.

They won't throw the game and there is no conspiracy
Even if the Patriots win in the 1:00 game the Jets can make the playoffs as a wildcard if the Ravens (playing at the same time 4:15) lose.
For the last time the league is not out to get you guys.

agree 100%
All the league wants is whichever games get them the most viewers. No conspiracy on behalf of any particular team for that team’s sake, only for the money that team will bring in. But we all know that and where the loyalties lie.
Keep the faith!

You're overthinking things
Both the Jets and the Dolphins are trying to play their way into the playoffs. The Bills are only trying to set a new league record for most different ways to manage to lose a game in a single season; they’ve already set the record for most different stupid ways to lose. As compelling TV goes, Jets/Dolphins may be the second most compelling game of the week, after the Sunday night game between the Chargers and Broncos.
That’s why the game was moved. The league’s petty BS against the Pats has nothing to do with it.

It's All About
the TeeVee money. This is the NFL serving its sponsors, nothing else.
