Sunday Game Open Thread
Of course, we have a couple of games to keep track of. Jets need to beat Miami OR Jags to be victorious over Baltimore. Cross your fingers.

Classy Finish
by Drew Brees, who needed 16 yards to take Dan (NO CHAMPIONSHIPS) Marino’s single season passing record. He could have thrown short for the record, but he went long for a chance at a meaningless (for the Saints) TD and came up just short.
Lotta back and forth in Miami @ NY, not much going on

Mangini shakes his head every time Favre throws a pick
You would think that he’d be used to this by now
Ravens WIN!!!!!
Maybe next year guys when you get Tom Butt Chin Brady back. Man what a good year it was to not hear Tom Brady’s name every 5 minutes. I cannot wait to go down to Miami again!
You have to hate losing more than you love winning

Tough luck guys, have to improve that defense next year
It sucks that an 11-5 team can miss the playoffs but then you have the Broncos and Chargers hosting a playoff game.
Seattle, the world's worst sports city.
I hear ya. Dolphins deserve it, as much as I hate them. They've played well.

11-5 and No Playoffs
What gives, man? This is worse than 18-1.
The Jaguars and especially the Jets are the most worthless, useless teams that have ever existed. Period. Fuck ’em both!
At Least
Favre seems to have tainted his reputation some, and maybe they’ll dump Mang-hemorrhoid.
Damn!
Marino gets to keep his record, and the Dolphins win. Bad night to be a Pats’ Fan.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy
really like you guys, but I hate your team.

Still proud of our Pats
Just a play or two away from winning the division despite losing the 2007 NFL MVP and a ton of other major players.
Jerod Mayo got an entire season of experience under his belt and Gary Guyton looks like a keeper. Best of luck to Cassel wherever he goes next year… he’s earned himself a starting job somewhere in this league.
Cassel
Hear me out on this, even though I could get chewed out. Had the Pats made the playoffs and gone all the way, what would’ve Pioli and Kraft do as far as pick between Brady and Cassel? In that sense, I’m kinda glad it didn’t have to be that way. Emphasis on kinda.
yeah, such a problem to have
it would have been the topic of discussion at our Super Bowl party, and again when we all got together to watch the DVD (3 games to glory pt. IV).
Keep the faith!
One more bit of silver
is redemption, of a sort, for Chad Pennington, a classy lad who was treated shabbily by the J-E-T-Scum. Granted, he’d have done no better than Favre if the Jets were still calling plays for him. Sparano did a great coaching job, and Parcells was amazingly low profile, which helped the Dolphins immeasurably.
we were talking about that
If we had no stake in the game, we definitely would have been rooting for Pennington easily over the great-and-powerful Favre.
Keep the faith!
