Welker at practice; Warren is not
The Patriots are holding their afternoon practice on the upper fields behind Gillette Stadium (12:55 p.m.) and receiver Wes Welker was present for the media-access portion of the session.

Welker had been knocked out of Sunday’s loss to the Steelers after absorbing a hit from safety Ryan Clark.

Players not present for the media-access portion of the practice included:

# DE Ty Warren (groin)
# OLB Pierre Woods (mouth)
# OLB Adalius Thomas (forearm)
# OLB Vince Redd (unknown)
# WR Kelley Washington (thigh)

Players wore shells (light shoulder pads) and sweatpants and media members were present for stretching and positional drills.

yeah, I caught that one in my links this morning

Welker talked to the press today too and it was kind of funny. A reporter asked him if he saw Clark coming, and Welker responded, “Did it look like I saw him coming?”

Keep the faith!
