I'm come right out and say it

It sucks serious donkey nuts that your Patriots are not in the playoffs.

No, I'm not kidding. 11-5 and not in the playoffs? WTF is that bullshit. While I do not have that much of a beef with how the NFL playoff selection is done, the fact that an 8-8 team from a crap division is hosting a playoff game while an 11-5 team from a tough division isn't even in is R-E-T-A-R-D-E-D.

Please understand, I still hate your team and your coach. I think your owner's son is a prissy bitch who likes to make up frivolous accusations about piped in crowd noise because he likes to hear the sound of his own voice, and I think Randy Moss is a quitter who will never sniff the Hall of Fame.

But, despite all that, the Patriots were as tough a team this year as they ever were. They used 42 different players, re-schemed their entire offense, and are developing Jerod Mayo into a beast. And they deserved to be in the post-season this year.

I mean seriously guys. I had dreams of both Indy and New England steamrolling their way through the playoffs via the Wild Card rounds, only to meet once again in the AFCCG, which to the annoyance of every other football fan on the planet. And, while at that game, Pats and Colts fans could give a big collective F YOU to the rest of the league for daring to dismiss our clubs in 2008.

Sadly, the Pats aren't there for us to hate. And it sucks.

So, we Colts fans wil just pretend that the opponent is the Patriots, and hate them as much as we hated your guys, because the playoffs are not the same without the New England Patriots.

touched by your sentiment

but I will disagree with you about Randy Moss. Take a look at the post right before yours, for a Cold Hard Football Facts assessment of our humble and lovable and extremely talented wide receiver. : )

Wow

Did BBS just write “Tough division” or do I need new glasses? It’s never as much fun when your favorite rival has not been invited to the party. On the bright side …. Philip Rivers is pretty easy to hate! Good luck, or skill, or whatever : (

Appreciate it BBS

It sucks, but thems the breaks I guess. The playoffs lean strongly towards divisional wins; the problem with that is weak divisions ( *FC West, for example) get in with 8-8 and 9-7 records.

No offense to Fins fans and Bolts fans, but I think they’ll get knocked in the first round. Ravens and Colts are playing well in December/January and that’s the key. Or, I could be smoking crack. This season been that wonky.

Agreed

It’s funny, but the four best teams in the league right now are the Titans, Steelers, Colts, and Ravens. I think the Pats would take anyone from the NFC this year too, but we’re out of it.

What really pisses me off, though, is that the Chargers, Cardinals, Eagles, and Vikings will all get better draft picks than the Pats despite getting to go to the playoffs. If the NFL is going to penalize the superior team by keeping them out of the playoffs, they ought to at least get to pick before every team that got to play.

absolutely

small consolation, but at least it’s something.

Thx for the love

I guess the only consolation we Colts fans can give you is to swat the annoying bug that is the 8-8 San Diego Chargers.

Cry Babies

That’s all you ever do. Cry when you win, cry when you lose. If the shoe were on the other foot you would find 100 reasons why winning the division means more. Patriot fans don’t believe in anything,…… what ever fits them at the moment.
