Why the Matt Walsh part of the story won't get resolved

Here's a well-done post on the legalities and maneuvering that are likely going on behind the scenes between the NFL, Matt Walsh, etc. The author doesn't think this story will come out, and lays out the legal case why. An interesting read, because it takes what could be a boring subject to a non-lawyer (i.e., just about anything to do with contract law,) and explains how this hot-button topic will likely play out.

I'm not so sure...
...I understand Walsh's motivation here.  What does he possibly hope to gain from this?  In addition, I would purport that he's a few eggs short of a dozen to even bring this up.  I mean, isn't he basically saying, "Let me take this Patriots owned property I stole from you and use it against you."

Hard to say
His motivation could come from any number of sources (e.g., he envisions a book deal in the future, he's pissed at the Pats for firing him, he genuinely wants to uncover wrongdoing, etc.,)and he would still want that indemnity. Unfortunately though, I don't think we'll ever know why he did what he did. We'll just have to put up with more Pats bashing, deserved or not.

Thanks for this article
It was an interesting angle on the whole silly affair.  It is frustrating to listen to the soap-opera build up whenever it comes up anywhere.  Without knowing any better, you'd think it was the second coming of the O.J. Simpson trial.

I forwarded it to our crowd, and got some good feedback.  Thanks again for the link.

Keep the faith!

Glad to help
There's been a lot of speculation from all sides on what happened, and what's going to come of it. I just thought it was nice to read something that rationally discussed the legalities of one aspect of the ongoing saga.
