First Day of Free Agency

With the opening of Free Agency today, the news is coming fast and furious. I don't have time to list all of the stories, but hie thee to the Globe and Herald blogs for all sorts of news. Kelley Washington and Tedy Bruschi are coming back. Kevin Faulk passed a drug test and won't be suspended. Seau has shoulder surgery... Just go already.

Sign Moss!!!
Sign Moss!!! Sign Moss!!!  I'm gonna be an alcoholic if they don't finalize the deal soon.

Pay Him!
Just pay Moss.  Lock him up for years.  I need to have a bit of hope and a reason to go on during this bleak, dark, lonely, off-season.  Please, please, please.  Just sign the man.

Word this morning on WEEI was that Randy is wanted by none other than the COLTS.  Could anyone stomach even the thought of that happening????  I'd rather see him play for the JETS.  Ok, maybe not the Jets, but it's seriously at that same level of distastefulness. Nah, it's gone waaaaaay beyond distasteful, it's downright nauseating.  I've got to go do some errands or something to get my mind off of this.

Anyway, this link is pretty useful to anyone interested in tracking the 2008 free agents out there.

That report is BS
The Colts will not sign Moss. Too dicey of a personality and too much money.

At this stage
I think Moss would only play for a team with a stable ownership and coaching situation, a legitimate playoff contention and, of course, a strong-armed quarterback who can and will throw to him.  The Colts fit that bill every bit as well as the Pats and as our best "arch nemesis", I'd just hate to see Randy catching passes from Peyton next season.

I'm telling you man don't worry about it
The Colts don't have the money or the patience for Randy Moss. Anyways Deion Branch just bought a house in Indy. Coincidence? Probably, but it's always fun to speculate.

I was wondering...
...about the Horse's cap space.  Glad to hear there's no room for Randy. ;-)  Plus, I think the Colts do a really good job of developing young talent through drafts and such; I may be wrong, but free agency doesn't seem to be Polian's cup of tea.

yeah we're excited over at Stampede
that a free agent is even coming for a workout. The Colts never build through free agency. Adam Vinatieri is a freak thing.
