Around SBN: Which Players Will Join The 3,000-Hit Club?

Randy, Randy, Randy

I am seriously going to lose my mind if we don't have Randy tied up in a bow SOON. The waiting is killing me, the rumors are killing me, watching all the other guys go to other teams is killing me. I am afraid to read the news releases. I am ready to  take up drinking.  I try to focus on the Red Sox, it's not working. This is getting to be worse than the suspense of the Superbowl. AAARRRGGGGHHHH!

Playing devil's advocate
We have 3 rings without Randy, so one could assume, "It's the system, BABY!!"  However, after eating sirloin for years, we've finally had a taste of filet.  And I'm liking the taste of filet.

Do we REALLY need Moss?
He had a great regular season, just like the team did. So what? The way he dissapeared in post season, limits his value; as far as I'm concerned.Weren't the Pats a better, more diverse team, when they had limited weapons?
When they lined up in this Superbowl, I knew whether they were going to run or pass. Didn't you? I remember how many plays they ran out of the two tights, two receiver set last year. No imagination in the 2007 team, because they didn't think they needed it

Just heard on the morning news...
...Pats and Moss are close to a deal that'd make him the highest paid WR in the league.

cnn's truth and rumors
said no other teams were approaching Moss because they believe he will only sign with Pats and only hasn't yet in hopes of a better offer from the Pats.

yeah, I heard that too
on WEEI as well, and it seems to me a legitimate theory.  With regards to Moss going to Green Bay to give Favre a reason to play one more season, Michael Holley pointed out that --not coincidentally-- both Favre and Moss have the same agent who could very well be trying to manipulate things a bit.

And what organization wants to be manipulated or used or have their time wasted by getting involved in some player's contract negotiations with another team?

Just cut the games and make an announcement already!

Keep the faith!
