preseason games

I'm starting off by saying I know it's only preseason and it probably means nothing.  It is still a great challenge and way to start things off.  The first game at Gillette against the Ravens, yeah maybe just a little revenge factor still boiling in the Ravens minds.  They are off to Tampa for the 2nd game, then coming home again to meet the Eagle's.  I wonder what those guys are thinking.  The final game, preseason or not, I don't care, serious feelings from the Patriots hearts and minds will be felt when they face the New York Giants, and to top it all off thier playing at Giants Stadium.  Again, preseason or not, I hope we kill them, especially when both teams will be playing thier starters for most of the game.  Oh man, my blood is boiling already.  I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Actually the starters
play very little in the final preseason game. Still it could be interesting.

Seriously?
I just puked in my mouth a little.  By the time the Super Bowl was over, I was like a kid that had had too much sugar and then a little too much more. Sports-patter (or, as my gf likes to call it, "football blah-blah") was like poison to me.  Everything is over-the-top, once-in-a-lifetime, precedent-setting, holy cr*p can you believe what we just saw/might be seeing/may never see again! I was so shagged on sports hype, I'm only now starting to re-engage.

I was hoping the Pats would come out of the gate quietly, maybe go 2-2 to start the season.

Now you're telling me that we're re-playing the SuperBowl in the 4th week of pre-season?  And all the bullshit is going to get cranked up in freakin' August?  I might not even turn on the TV until week 8, at this rate.

The media indeed created a monster last year...
...which it then proceeded to rail and write, in all of its amplified earnest outrage, against the very monster it brought to life, trying its damnedest to take it down hard.  Yes, it's only April and the flies are once again ready to land and lay their eggs, waiting and hoping to devour and feast off the Patriots for another year.

Football blah-blah is only too precise a term.

Keep the faith!

yes, seriously
Gooch, I'm with you pal, my thoughts exactly thats why I wrote it.  The only thing I can tell you is keep the faith and remember no matter what happens it's only preseason, and maybe, just maybe it might make the Pat's a little more tougher and humble and realize that everyone is still gunning for them.  Good news, the regular season aside from our division of course, is we play the 2 west coast divisions this year and hopefully that could be in our favor.  Later bro, time for your chill pills. LOL.....

ack...
THis coming up season is going to suck for the Pats players.  we have FOUR west coast trips this year, and that is going to be ROUGH on the players.  Not only will it screw up the normal rotation they use for practice, but the jet lag will be horrid.  We play Oakland, San Diego, Seattle, and San Fran away games this year.  Those games will all be 4:15pm (EST)games, and won't end until 8:00ish, figure in the plane ride home and players won't get to bed until 2 or 3 in the AM.  That is ROUGH.

We will see how this season plays out, but I think the players will be beat down by the end of the year.  Its a lot to ask them to travel cross country 4 times.
