SIKED!!! The Pat's signing Victor Hobson is great! He's right up Belichick's alley, he's strong and very tough and "extremely intelligent",quotes the Herald. Not only that, he was a free agent and did not want to sign with the Jets again, he wanted the Patriots. This is not just a fill in signing for the linebacker core this is a great pick up especially this late in free agency. He is an excellent addition to the team. It also takes the pressure off of the 7th pick for linebacker in case nobody decent is left. Once again, SIKED!!!

I have to agree

I am happy with the Hobson signing as well. I can't believe we got him for a vet min contract tho! I know the Jets wanted him back and prob for more money then we offered, so it is a surprise. He should be a great filler for the ILB position. I really hope they leave Vrabel and Thomas at the OLB positions. Those 2 can spell some serious trouble for the O-line of our opponents.

ogor, don't worry a bit, they will leave vrabel and thomas alone. I read that the pats will most likely leave hobson inside because of his stout body and short reach and they fear that he may not have the outside stretch for running backs or receivers going to the outside. Like you said, I am surprised about the money deal also, that's why I said I was siked he must of said I want to be with a winning team and came here for less. Whatever the situation who cares we got him and he will be a great asset.
