NFL Battling Comcast
I used to have the NFL network, I watched it constantly, during the season and the off season, I'd sit there for hours and watch show after show -- and then they put it on a higher tier. That really pissed me off, so I decided not to jump up to the next tier -- now it seems Comcast decided to play hardball with the NFL because they wouldn't sell x amount of games to them. Talk about screwing over your customers.
"Tagliabue’s one-page declaration is an exhibit in the league’s filing, which contends that Comcast, the nation’s largest cable operator, is discriminating against the NFL Network. He said that Brian Roberts, Comcast’s chief executive, warned him on Jan. 27, 2006, that, having decided not to sell the eight-game package to Versus, “Your relationships with the cable industry are going to get very interesting.”
In Tagliabue’s view, Roberts’s statement “foreshadowed Comcast’s retaliation” later that year to relegate the NFL Network to the sports tier, which requires an extra fee"

Our friend Arlen Spector
Given that Spector has received $153,600 in campaign donations from Comcast, I fully embrace your sarcasm. ;-) BTW, the only firm who has given more to AS is Comcast’s law firm, Blank Rome, LLP. They donated $358,453. Oh, my mistake – it was their PAC that did the donating; that makes all the difference in the world. More info on Arlen Spector.
