CB Willie Andrews in trouble with the law again
It appears we may be without the services of Willie Andrews for a while. He was arrested Monday morning after alledgely holding a gun to his girlfriend's head. This is the second brush with the law in 3 months for Andrews. With the new conduct policy that took effect June 1, he could face suspension time for this. I know that the Pats did a lot in the offseason to shore up the defense, so this will hurt that effort. Only time will tell what effect this will have in the long run.
I have included a link to the story in which I found this:

Hopefully
..the Pats get rid of this little “gangsta” wannabe … I mean come on. This piece of trash is a prime example of why the NFL is becoming a classless league. A gun to his girlfriend’s head - what a f’n loser…there was also a little kid present - she took the child and went to a hotel. This is his second offense - the first time he was caught with $6800.00 in cash and almost a half a pound of weed in his car -—kick him to the curb—defensively we wouldn’t be losing much. The Patriots and the NFL do not need little sh*tbags like him in the league…...
If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is 'God is crying.' And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is 'Probably because of something you did.'

Good Riddance!
Do you really think Willie Andrews means all that much to the team? Sure, he returned a kickoff for a touchdown but that was one play. He has 24 tackles in two years and has played mostly on special teams.
A lot of the new players currently on the roster have special teams experience, and in my opinion the team doesn’t need thugs like Andrews on the field or in the locker room. It’s not worth whatever value he may bring to the team as an athlete.
Keep the faith!

Wow.
I was willing to overlook his first offense earlier as long as he stayed out of trouble, but this is too much. The Patriots should just part ways with him. He doesn’t seem too concerned about his potential loss of a roster spot judging from his actions.

Ugghh
I’ve said this many times before: this stuff drives me to distraction. Why can’t these guys just turn into monks for 10 years and be done with it? Every stupid thing they do turns into yet another issue the organization has to manage. There’s so many dudes out there who would kill for a roster spot and guys like Andrews throwing it away. Idiot.

Trade him to the Raiders
See if they’d give up a seventh-round pick for him.

Scout.com’s Adam Caplan reports that the Patriots released Willie Andrews.
The Boston Globe has confirmed the news, which was expected after Andrews’ latest gun-related arrest. The third-year pro was no lock to make the roster after failing to develop at cornerback. He’s a fine returner.

Excellent!
Nice to know they acted that quickly! God bless him, but the team is certainly better off without him.

He should be banned for a while
Basically gun related domestic abuse charges, should they stick, should be a career death sentence for Andrews. He isn;t bright enough to keep himself out of trouble, especially after getting a second chance.
I think this says it all ablout Andrew, Benson and Henry…....

Finally
The Patriots finally cut Andrews… something they should have done a long time ago. Two domestic charges in the last 3 months, he basically just threw his list and obviously career away. What a moron. This does affect our secondary greater than most people think. With the losses of Asante Samuel AND Eugene Wilson, we are pretty shortstaffed as it is. This could put a wrinkle in the system…
