Play Offs!!!

What will it take for this team to make the playoffs this year?      Maybe the genius that we hope BB is. Or the possibility of another good or great QB rising up thru the ranks.    A very good defense is certainly a possibility with BB. Or maybe Randy Moss will make a big enough impact to be the difference. It could be one of those years that a different player will step up every game.

I think it’s going to take a slight miracle for the Pats to make the playoffs, to be honest.

just to make the playoffs???

well, right now they’re 2-1 and the schedule isn’t exactly the roughest in the league. We’ll have to see how it pans out since this is unknown territory, but as of now I’m calling the Miami game an aberration and think the Pats do indeed have a legit chance at the playoffs.

It doesn’t look like they are going to the win the division. And as it stands, it looks like two teams will be making the playoffs from the AFC West and South. So if you think the Patriots are better than the Chargers and Broncos, or Colts and Titans and Jaguars, then sure, they have a chance. But speaking realistically, the Patriots of last year, two years ago, or 7 years ago isn’t here.

Huh, if your

Colts don’t learn how to win in their new stadium, they aren’t going to the postseason.

You could have at least given me a half-assed argument. There’s no excuse for laziness.

I don't know why your talking

About the Chargers and Broncos, or Colts and Titans and Jaguars, none of those teams are in our division. And yes, I do think the Pats are better than those teams, we are the AFC champions until somebody knocks us off.

I’m talking about those other teams because anyone who knows the playoff structure in the NFL would realize that unless the Pats win their division, they are going to have to beat out a slew of other teams for two, count ’em, TWO, wild-card spots in the AFC.

Now it’s fairly obvious, well fairly being an insane understatement, that the Patriots aren’t nearly as good with Cassel at QB. So simple logic would tell you that regardless of being the AFC champions, their chances to repeat as such, let alone make the playoffs in such a crippled state is stacked against them.
