Postgame Thread: Patriots defeat Chiefs, 17-10
Wow, too close for comfort. With both starting QBs in the locker room, the Patriots eek out a win. Discuss away, faithful. A full wrapup will be in the works.

The defense was money. The secondary only looked bad once, and it was that long completion to Bowe that actually made this game tight. The linebackers and the defensive line just looked amazing. Mike Vrabel is my MVP for this one.

Hey Randy
Yeah, that catch by Bowe could’ve driven this game into overtime. Vrabel was money and in KC’s backfield. I thought Hobbs had a great game, too.

Absolutely!
The defense stepped up when they had to. That one mistake by Sanders could have sent us into overtime, but the DEFENSE was HUGE. We were definitely sweating it out here, I won’t try to kid you, but MAN the defense was key.
Keep the faith!

Minor correction
The long pass was to Darling. Although Bowe could have sent th game into OT if he doesn’t drop a TD at the end.
All in all, the offense was a little inconsistent, the defense was good, the spec team was solid. Let’s hope our famous injury report will show us something good, and prepare for Brett

Ah, yes. What was I thinking? Bowe couldn’t catch a cold today…

cassel
i don’t know if it is because i didn’t watch the actual game just got the updates. it seems like cassel did a pretty ok job considering. our defense is filled to the brim with hard workers. vrabel is da man.
get well tommy. (that’s all i am gonna say on that)

Cassel was good, but not great. He kept the Patriots in the game, which was the most important thing. No turnovers — that was big.

Yes, I was pleased...
…with the performance of the defense. Our secondary was the big ? coming into this one, and they looked pretty solid… particularly when you consider that Deltha O’Neal was yet to play a snap for the Patriots. Another point of note was that Tom Brady wasn’t rusty at all. He was right on the money every time except that last play where he had his knee taken out.

Gutty win
Us Colts fans are concerned over Brady. We hate his guts (and yours), but we don’t like seeing great players get hurt. Get healthy, Tom. We haven’t gotten our chance to kick your ass this year. ;)
(Seriously, when news of Brady’s status gets posted, I’ll be checking this site. Hoping Tommy is ok.)

Not a whole lotta fun here in Beantown
Liking the win, but it bites when a player of Brady’s caliber goes down. Oh well, we’ll just have to have Cassel and O’Connel beat Manning at the Lube. :-)

The word I’ve heard: torn ACL, out for season.
I’m going to cry myself to sleep tonight.
