Official: Brady out for Season

Well, it's official... the NFL network has just told us that Tom Brady is out for the season.  I wouldn't panic just yet though... we're still the Patriots.  We still have a boatload of awesome on that team.  A retooled defense and a quarterback with something to prove.  The Giants won with Eli Manning last year and as far as I could tell before they "caught lightning in a bottle", Eli was eligible for the special olympics.  So, we'll see how this plays out.

Brady

The New England Patriots have just released this statement while we await the start of Bill Belichick’s news conference, which was rescheduled from 11:45 a.m. to 3 p.m., to accommodate an update on QB Tom Brady’s MRI:

After extensive tests this morning, it was revealed that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s left knee, which was injured in the first quarter of yesterday’s game, will require surgery. He will be placed on injured reserve and will miss the remainder of the 2008 season.

Sorry about this

I can kind of relate. This season just won’t be the same! But, you do still have all of the other tremendous players on your team. Don’t give up.
