5 Questions with New York Jets
Well, guess what time it is? It's time to get 5 questions going for our upcoming Pats @ Jets this Sunday at 4:15pm!! SBNation, until a few hours ago, didn't have an NYJ blogger. I'll get you the URL soon so you can start heading over there. In the meantime, start commenting with those questions for our new NYJ blogger.

I know this isn't the spirit of the questions you are looking for, but...
How can you guys dance on the tables when you see a quality guy go down with a season-ending injury? Tom Brady is not a trash-talker, speaks with nothing but respect about other teams and his opponents, has never thrown any of his own teammates under the bus or insinuated that a botched play or bad outing was anything other than his own fault.
I know we’re “bitterly hated rivals” and all but to take such obvious joy in a man’s injury is just wrong. Oh, and by the way, just because a great man went down doesn’t change your own team one iota or make you into something you’re not.
Keep the faith!

hmm
I’ll throw some in… take what you want.
“Playoffs?! Don’t talk about playoffs! Are you kidding me? Playoffs?! I’m just hoping we can win a game, another game!”-Jim Mora
A lot of people are hailing Brett Favre as the savior of the Jets. Do you echo in this fervor or think they’re just hyping cause Favre is so fun to hype? Even with Brady down, the Bills and Patriots are formidable opponents.
Do you see this season as a one-shot chance if Favre retires again? Would you like to see a QB drafted next year or do you think Clemens will takeover when Favre departs?
Do the antics of Jets fans frustrate you or do you think their critics are being too snobby?

After beating a team that only won one game in ’07 by a mear 7 points, what are your honest to god thoughts on the rest of the seaon?

OK
1)Defend the fans in the meadowlands for 1) cheering the injury to their own quarterback last year and 2) cheering the injury to our quarterback this year.
2) Favre heaved up another desperation TD last week against the Jets which Mangina defended as a veteran move—somehow concluding that had a defender intercepted the lame duck (just shy of the goaline) the defender would be bound to down the ball. Great arm strength, no discipline. How long before the shine goes off the apple and the fine folks in New Jersey start booing the anointed one?
3) Alan Faneca was a stalwart member of the Steelers o-line for many years. Now he plugs into a unit that boasts last year’s rookie phenom, D’Brickshaw Ferguson (great name, by the way). Nick Mangold is a mean bastard, on his way to earning a reputation as one of the better centers in the league. RG Moore is solid, but then you’ve got Damien Woody at RT. He’s made an interesting progression from inside out. How do you feel about the o-line? Are the Dolphins defenders and adequate gauge for the the first test?
4) New kicker this week. Your thoughts?
5) Great play by Revis last week (along w/ a bad one by Pennington). How do you feel about the Jets’ secondary?
You might not want start off with my first two if you’d like to keep things collegial. I didn’t use to hate the Jets—my vitriol was reserved for the Colts. But over the last few years I’ve grow to loathe most of their fans. Straight hate is what did it, combined with a visit to the Meadowlands for the opener last year. I showed up low key with a buddy, not even wearing colors. Foul-mouthed, consistently rude, aggressive—literally in my face. And gone by the 3rd quarter. One word:
Douchebags.
I remain willing to be proven wrong on a case-by-case basis. But that’s my starting point.
As Mr. Sloan always says, there is no "I" in team, but there is an "I" in pie. And there's an "I" in meat pie. Anagram of meat is team... I don't know what he's talking about. --Shaun of the Dead
