Around SBN: Odds On Peyton Manning's Next Home Includes Three Teams

According to Mike Florio of ProFootball Talk:

"Steve Duemig of WDAE in Tampa tells us that, indeed, Galloway has been released. Duemig contacted Galloway, who confirmed that he is indeed gone.

Galloway signed with the Patriots in the offseason. In three appearances, he caught seven passes for 67 yards.

Because he was cut before the trade deadline, he becomes an unrestricted free agent. He also is entitled to collect the balance of his base salary as termination pay, regardless of whether he signs with a new team."

disappointing, but not surprising

The Galloway pickup looked to be promising when it happened, and now it was just a big waste of time bust. It happens sometimes.

There has been some talk about picking up Deion Branch, but I’m on the fence on that one. Sure he was one of Brady’s favorite targets and I loved him as a Patriot, but he’s been injured and he’s expensive.

Keep the faith!

Branch is a romantic pick, harkening back to the days of yesteryear.

I don’t think he’s a realistic pick, or even a smart pick.

A bit late

Cutting Galloway was logical, but obviously a bit late. Greg Lewis couldn’t have done any worse, so he should have been kept out of training camp instead. Can’t have that back, though, so no reason to throw good money after bad.

That's a surprise

Getting Izzo back?

Mid-season house-cleaning.

There have to be multiple FAs or trades lined up. Right?

This has to be a trade

Two cuts could have just meant Tate and LeVoir are back.
Four cuts I have no idea about.

Actually

Apparently WEEI is reporting that both TBC and Alexander are being brought back with extensions, bringing down their cap number this year. This could indicate a trade but more likely I believe we bring Tate into Galloway’s roster spot and LeVoir into Matthews’

yeah, that's what I've heard too

we’ll just have to wait and see on those two.

Keep the faith!

Good

it was strange to see TBC cut after a really good effort.
