Post Game Thread: New England Patriots defeat Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 35-7
Big surprise. Wes Welker is all over the field, making sure he's open for Tom Brady when he's needed. Overall, I'm happy they won, but there are things that need to be fixed. Brady is overthrowing Randy Moss, Sebastian Vollmer and Logan Mankins need to watch the holding, and I'm still not convinced Laurence Maroney is past the "Dancing El Mo". On the positive side, the defensive backfield is much improved, IMO. Brandon Meriweather is a MAJOR stud of late. More to come tonight after I look at the numbers.
Discuss.

so um...
can we say that brady is better than manning coming off of injuries. manning= 4-4 through eight games on a 4 week injury
brady= 5-2 through 7 games off a year long injury

Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time to come off an injury who throws to wes welker, graduated from michigan and has a dimple on his chin…
As Mr. Sloan always says, there is no "I" in team, but there is an "I" in pie. And there's an "I" in meat pie. Anagram of meat is team... I don't know what he's talking about. --Shaun of the Dead

Can't believe Manning ran up the score like that...
… no class.
At least Brady gave the ball away a couple of times to be fair.
Keep the faith!
Gotta love one thing...
The Pats are getting better each week, and I don’t see that stopping anytime soon. Not even the Tories can keep Brady down.
Brady is almost back
Brady continued his improvement today IMO. The picks were bad, but otherwise he moved very well and had some nice throws. Overall the offense moved down the field at will, even though the many penalties would be a killer against a good offense.
Defensively, it was another strong showing. 7 points allowed, and the Bucs never really moved the ball consistently.
We have dominated two teams in a row, and even though they are bad teams, it still takes a good team to do that. I think we are in a very good position for the second half of the season.
He did move well.
Wish he would have kept moving and held on to the ball those two plays. His second-half performance was very tight and that toss to Watson was a little piece of perfection.

I don't think he's really hurt
It looked like he just took a shot on that ball he dropped, but the game was all but over by then and there was no reason to risk getting him hurt.
Now we'll just have to see what happened to Ty Warren
I saw him getting carted off, but missed how he got hurt
Keep the faith!
In barely related news
I just took a look at the Colts’ schedule. Wow. That’s like Florida’s early season schedule — I-AA all the way.

They have a schedule made for a 16-0 season
They really only have three teams that ought to threaten them — the Pats, Baltimore, and Denver. And maybe the Jets if they actually show up to play, which they haven’t done in a few weeks. And of those, they only play the Ravens on the road.
I’m betting they end up 14-2.
to be fair for maroney
there are still times where the o-line doesn’t get a hole for him in time. i did see some dancing from him and there were times when he hesitated a bit. but he did show up on his last few touches.
Kids
Pryor had some nice pressure, Butler got burnt on a perfect pass and make a nice int.
Vollmer will only get better, Chung had a sack, Tate got his feet wet and Ingram holding his own. Love watching the younger guys getting some priceless playing time hope Brace and Ohmberger can join them soon.
Question about our punting...
…why were the Bucs consistently in our backfield? We’re lucky none of the punts were blocked.
The line and Hanson
It seems it’s a combination of the line and Hanson hanging onto the ball for too long, IMO.
