Brandon Tate on IR, Isaiah Stanback Promoted
The Patriots placed rookie receiver Brandon Tate (knee) on season-ending injured reserve Saturday, and promoted quarterback/receiver Isaiah Stanback from the practice squad to the active roster.
Stanback adds depth at receiver, especially with rookie Julian Edelman (forearm) questionable for tonight, and also provides depth at quarterback.

He looked pretty good on returns...
and definitely looked like a rookie who hasn’t seen much game time as a receiver. Promising, though.
