Ah, but you added the new temporary HC

See, that’s breaking news as well.

i wonder how soon

before he gets a chance elsewhere. How long till Cable is out in Oakland?

Forget Cleveland

Lerner isn’t a senile moron like Davis. He’s not going to hire a guy who has a consistent record of mediocrity but lucked into a single good season as head coach eight years ago.

Lerner is still making plenty of mistakes. Hiring Mangina proves that.

Glad I run between the East Blogs.

Thanks for being the first to confirm the new head coach.

I'm still a little surprised Shanahan doesn't have a new home yet.

May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.

I'm not sure he wanted one

He was bouncing around the franchises having a look around – including dropping by the Pats – so I wonder if he’s waiting for a plum job to come up rather than just take over some desperately flailing team (Bills? Browns?)

Token southern hemisphere guy - 14,688km from Foxboro. That's 9128 miles, for you heathens.

He's also still getting paid. He has time to find the right gig.

Oh, really? He's still collecting on a Broncs contract, eh...

Didn’t know that. Still, seems wise to stay relevant in the eyes of the Nuffle.

According to Adam Schefter

The Bills have a meeting set up with Mike Shanahan.

Keep the faith!

I know, I know

It was bad enough having Shanahan in the conference, let alone in the division

Just saw this, so there's hope.

At Yahoo!:

Wilson discounted reports that the team is interested in interviewing Mike Shanahan, the former Denver Broncos coach.

"I don’t know anything about him," he said, adding the team will be releasing a statement later in the day to address the speculation.
