The Dolphins hate the Jets. Maybe they don't have the warm-and-fuzzies for the Patriots either, but if you talk to the Miami players, it's pretty clear that their feelings toward the two teams aren't in the same ballpark.

When I asked Ronnie Brown about the Jets, he said that, "Yeah, I don't really like them too much." With the Patriots, Brown said, "the respect factor is there."

I think this is because the Pats have won something in the past 50 years, and have the capacity to win still.

The Jets, even if they swept us Phins, wouldn’t make the playoffs, and if by some fluke they did, they aren’t going to win anything. Utter lack of discipline.

When the Pats were preparing for the 0-5 Titans, Belichick talked them up like they were the 5-0 Titans

The difference between winning players and losing players is slight. Change teams, players resurge or great players become has-beens. The margin for victory on any given day can come down to a couple plays they made that you didn’t. A couple mistakes you made that they didn’t. When it’s that tough to win, you can’t take any team for granted.

Belichick knows that. The players are coached that way, and it’s VERY unusual to hear smack talk at all from the players. They’ll bring there best game, and try to play mistake free. No missed assignments, no penalties, and no stupid mistakes. Those are game breakers. In the end, whoever makes the most plays and sticks points on the board wins. Talk doesn’t put points on the board, it’s wasted energy and a distraction – they just don’t do it.

The Dolphins are dangerous, Pats respect that and they’ll try to bring their best game. Hopefully, it’s good enough.

Way more fun

I just wanted to say that it is way more fun and insightful coming over here and talking than it has been trying to talk to Jest fans over the last 3 weeks or so. I totally agree with Ronnie, I might not be a Pats fan but the respect factor is definitely there. Until Sunday that is! LOL

i agree

Pats are a classy oranisation, exhebtion Matt LIght. Pulling hair and punching a player who doesnt want to be included in a fight because he doesnt want to get ejected and hurt his team is sorry ass poor

Somehow it's rather easy to ignore the opinion

of someone who says “exhebtion”. Well done. Putting that in your first sentence saved me the pain of even bothering to read your second sentence.

You win.

It’s your mastery of many languages which has opened my eyes to the light. What other wisdom can you share with we poor troglodyte dirt-farmers?

As Mr. Sloan always says, there is no "I" in team, but there is an "I" in pie. And there's an "I" in meat pie. Anagram of meat is team... I don't know what he's talking about. --Shaun of the Dead

I should stop typing responses

My callouses are sore from trussing piglets. And my parents are cousins.

Do you still get to claim you know a language when you butcher it horribly? ‘Exhebtion’ a.
