Open Game Thread: Patriots @ Saints
New England Patriots at New Orleans Saints, Nov 30, 2009 8:30 PM EST

This ain't your daddy's Saints. This is a tough matchup for both teams and will be some darn good football. Entertaining? To say the least. It'll make for a great MNF duel. The inevitable comparison will be Tom Brady and Drew Brees; that's the matchup that the talking heads will be spouting about all night. And if the Saints pull this one out, we'll get endless, "Has Brees taken the QB crown?" Boom Baby!!
GO PATRIOTS!!

hmm for my avatar should i have randy catching over the...
jets, colts, or ’phins

thank you
the one of the colts had him catching over 2 colts. but i figured the phins were better lol
by MOSS81 on Nov 30, 2009 8:10 PM EST up reply actions
it can't get worse than the game vs the colts...
The announcers were getting the teams wrong when they said players, and saying the wrong name for guys. It was pathetic. I ended up muting the TV and listening to Gil and Gino
They should have him write everything he knows...
then for every positive statement Millen says, the editor should add a don’t and for every “I never” put a you must.
It’ll be a bestseller.

why is that guy on tv...
a) he sucks @ commentary,
b) he ruined the Lions
c) he talking about how hot Iowa’s qb’s mom was…..
Darren Sharper and Randy Moss will be a hell of a matchup

yeah...
It should be interesting until Randy torches him…. 3rd quarter bomb for 50+ is my prediction
yea itll be fun to watch
but not as funny as the comedy of somebody with a 50 number trying to cover #83

In that case he's probably there as the emergency QB
and might not be intended as a WR at all.
Is Aiken playing, then?

Not necessarily
You can have your 3rd QB as part of the game-day 53 players, and then the 4th quarter rule doesn’t apply. The emergency QB slot is effectively the 54th guy, but they can only play in the 4th without meaning the first and second QB are ruled out.

Blogger at SBNation's Patriots blog, Pats Pulpit
Yeah, I kind of ignored them as they always pick the pats
Blogger at SBNation's Patriots blog, Pats Pulpit
They'd probably pick the Pats in a game in Foxboro
It is going to be a close-run thing, and homefield advantage might tip the balance.

it was decided last year...
that the AFC south would host the AFC east team that finished in the same order. So the titans hosted Miami, Colts hosted us etc… That is why we played them this year at Indy
No way!
When they Pats are playing well it makes his smile look ridiculously huge. That has to be depressing for opposition D-backs.

But Tom needs to NOT try and make tackles after he throws a pick. Stay upright and keep your head on a swivel, don’t get taken out.
I don't like throwing out the 4 or 5 WR forms.
It eliminates the advantage we get from having a nice running game.
