Open Game Thread, 2nd Half: Patriots @ Saints

24-10, Saints. Brees with some killer drives. The Patriots gotta figure out how to neutralize NO's passing attack. Drew is picking the secondary apart. The night is young and we got Brady on our side. Let's do this.

All week the Pats have been talking about having a strong second half
I hope they have something to show for it…
pats need to stop giving the saints these long pass
they are just letting run down field with 1 man or even no coverage
well if we are going anywhere this year we need a showing

Stopping their O is paramount
because even if they go tit-for-tat from now on, the Pats will lose. They need to stop Brees.

Belichick needs to scheme something up
the standard pass-rush and coverage isn’t working. Choose one or the other and go for it – blitz relentlessly or go for some weird super-coverage.

Hah, I was thinking of Belichick's Giant days

well, any questions anyone may have had about the Saints being for real
Have been answered, and thoroughly.
The Saints are just better in all facets of the game.
Time to stop living in the past…
We need to re-model a lot of our team.
Running Backs: Maroney’s been a stud lately, but he still could use some help.
Pass Rush (DE/OLBs): We’ve been generating NO pressure all season. Needs to be fixed.
Offensive Line: We might be in this game if Brady had time to develop plays. Our O-Line is getting old. Keep Mankins, shift Light, utilize Vollmer and get a new Center and RG.
good game

Did wonders for the Titans when the Pats stomped them
they turned around and won 4 in a row.

Saints have been playing to their opponents level all year
When the GIants came to town, they got their butts handed to them. When it was the Falcons, it was a solid contest most of the way. When the Saints went to St. Louis, they played like crap. And now when the “team of the decade” shows up, the Saints show what they can really do.
I sure hope there aren’t any bad teams in the playoffs!
at least we have a very good shot of winning the rest of the games this year

Alright well
School in the morning, nothing worth staying up for..goodnight all! Hope the Pats wake up from this.
Won't happen... Colts are resting starters probably in week 14 or so...

i will still take colts backups
in a wager over lots of other teams, given their system :) who are the colts playing those weeks?
matter of fact
just because brees threw for 5000+ yards last season id prefer him to go 19-0 more than manning.. that would be salt in the wound

but yea what better way for no to get there first championship than a 19-0 season
thats gonna make me cry

It's been a while since an opposition QB would be scared to stand in the pocket.

With the lack of holding called on Welker and company
our DB’s should have been cracking their receivers off the line, not giving them 10 yard cushions.
