Logan Mankins

What are the chances the Pats don't re-sign him after this year?

Pretty low, I'd say.

As Mr. Sloan always says, there is no "I" in team, but there is an "I" in pie. And there's an "I" in meat pie. Anagram of meat is team... I don't know what he's talking about. --Shaun of the Dead

Don't even THINK it

Mankins is a key player – quiet talker, hard worker, beast on the field.

I'd have said they would definitely resign him, before the season

but now they’ve resigned Kazcur, I’m not so sure. Why tie up one O-lineman and not negotiate with Mankins?

Maybe it has something to do with the possible uncapped year in 2010?

The Pats might be assuming they have an extra year to negotiate – but I’m not sure and I’m too lazy to look it up at the moment.

Keep the faith!

Franchise tag might be risky

in a year when you can sign guys to whatever you feel like. Average of top-5 contracts in the position could be blown out of the water in an uncapped year.
