Playoffs
As quoted from Boston Globe Extra points:
If the Patriots lose to both the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Houston Texans while the Dolphins beat the Texans and the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Dolphins would claim the AFC East by the most narrow of margins. The teams would have split games against one another and own the same division record (4-2). The next tiebreaker is record against common opponents. The Dolphins would be 7-5 in those games, and the Patriots would be 6-6.
The Jets have been eliminated from the division title because they went 2-4 in the AFC East.
So its up to us, we win once, or dolphins lose once and we win the division again

Channeling Jim Mora there?
What’s that? Ah — Playoffs? Don’t talk about — playoffs? You kidding me? Playoffs? I just hope we can win a game! Another game.

Someone smart...
If the Chargers lose out, and we win out… Is there any chance at the number 2 seed?
We would tie in both win record and conference record (no head to head game this year).
So it would come down to common schedule if there are at least four such games and there are in fact five:
Baltimore, Miami (AFC East), Denver (AFC West), and Tenessee. No I didn’t miscount, because BOTH of our Miami games count and BOTH of their Denver games count (Matty I called the NFL for verification).
Chargers record: 2-3
Baltimore 0-1
Miami 1-0
Denver 1-1
Tenessee 0-1 (to be played, but we already said they lost)
Patriots record: 3-2
Baltimore 1-0
Miami 1-1
Denver 0-1
Tenessee 1-0
So it would be possible (albeit unlikely) to get the #2 seed. Anyone else see it differently?
Here are the rules.

you rock...
I have been up to my eyeballs in busy this year, so I haven’t had the best chance to follow everything and research like I normally do… thanks for the hard work (and verification) SMP
doubt thats going to happen
the Chargers might lose to the Titans but not to the Redskins
damn those loses to the broncos, fins and the colts. should have won those games
i can understand losing to the jets only b/c it was TB’s second game and Wes wasn’t playing.
Oh come let's sing Ohio's praise,
And songs to Alma Mater raise,
While our hearts rebounding thrill,
With joy which death alone can still,
Summer's heat or winter's cold,
The seasons pass the years will roll,
Time and change will surely (truly) show,
How firm thy friendship... OHIO!!!
