I watched the repeat of this segment last night and forgot all about my intention to include it this morning. What impressed me was Adam Schefter’s change of opinion. Shefter would call in regularly to WEEI and Dennis or Callahan would present scenarios to him of which teams would want to go after Cassel and would be willing to pay the big bucks (or picks) to get him. Schefter would always be downplaying his worth a bit and limiting his marketability.

The Total Access segment has Adam Schefter completely on the Cassel bandwagon, agreeing with his experts who have reviewed Cassel’s 16 game season, that he’s one of the top 5-8 quarterbacks in the NFL. That’s in the entire league, not just the free agents or draft prospects. Pretty impressive.
