Thank you letter to the Patriots
Dear Patriots, as a Chiefs fan for my entire life suffering, especially this decade, has been an annual event between Sep-Dec. Thank you for giving us Pioli. Our previous GM was just an ass. Thanks for Matt Cassel, even though Tyler Thigpen is a stud, many of us like a guy that can play under center, and thanks for Mike Vrabel. We were in dire need of veteran leadership and especially the move to a 3-4 defense, Vrabel's leadership and experience will be invaluable. If you want to give us anything else, it would be appreciated. Thanks again. We tried to send Bernard Pollard in the trade but Tom Brady said "no"....so enjoy the second round pick, by the way don't draft a Junior Siavi with it like we did a few years ago
very respectfully,
Chiefs fan----Major Tom

Good one!
This is a good thing. Neither team gets hurt and everyone walks away with something.

Yep
Thank you big time Pats.
Just this week there was a lot of moaning about the secrecy and “Slow Po” but this changed it around big time.
Be glad that the folks in Kansas City are salivating at the opportunity of being the Pats of the midwest.

It is pretty funny
The reaction towards Pioli changed big time there after today.

It was pretty funny
thinking about the hoards of reporters, journalists and TV broadcasters all trying to eke out information from the two most tight-lipped men in the world.
Keep the faith!

As I stated before in my plea for Pioli post
New England and Kansas City have a special bond in the NFL because so many of our hated rivals hate you guys. Hell, everyone but us hates NE. Some hate, some replicate. We chose to replicate. And as KC becomes a dominant team over the next decade, we will surely owe our success to the model established by the Kraft family, the greatest coach in my lifetime Bill Bellichick, and the Don, Scott Pioli. KC will be an extension of NE and we are forever grateful. We welcome you to Chiefs nation, as we know you will now be rooting for us as the second favorite AFC team, and we hope you’ll welcome us to Pats Nation, as I know a number of Chiefs fans will now hold a special place for the Patriots in our hearts. Of course, that might change after a few AFC Championship games. But for know, we are two organizations cut from the same cloth.

Well...we can't root for the Browns anymore
Not with Mangini there.
Keep the faith!

KC, Midwest version of the Pats.
You guys here with the Pats have had and still do have a great team and fan base. I only hope that with S. Pioli’s recent moves and future ones that our team can begin to compare to yours.
Heres to a few AFC Championship games involving the Chiefs and Pats in a few years.

good team and business moves for both teams
As a Pats guy, it hurts to see Vrabel (for his leadership and dedication) and Cassel (for his poise last year) depart, but I think this is one of those deals that has great potential to work out for both teams. Mike will be a great boost to your locker room and, even at 33, is still going to be a very active player.
Cassel is a bit more of an unknown for long term impact, but for a 2nd round pick I’d take that chance too. He did a great job last year in a tough situation, and all of us in New England are wishing him the best as he moves on to his new team. Hope he can bring you guys lots of wins. I don’t think anyone can question the loyalty of the KC fanbase, and you guys deserve a great team to root for.

I think it's win-win
Belichick and Pioli both know better than to try and swindle on another. We get a solid QB for the first time in years, and a championship LB who provides leadership to the Chiefs LB corps who previously had little to none.
You guys get the 34th overall pick in the draft and what is – for all intents and purposes – a clean bill of health for Tom Brady.

I would also like to extend our thanks.
While, honestly, I think you should have received more than our 2nd for Cassel and Vrabel, you have no idea how much this has helped the hopes of our fan base.
Also, NESilver has been commenting on Arrowhead Pride for some time, and he has represented the NE fans extremely well. So much so, we may kidnap him. :)
The fact that Chiefs nation is suddenly transformed by a NE VP of Player Personnel, a NE backup QB, and a NE aging but good LB is a testament to how well your organization is run. Thank you.
Besides, we now owe you one in any future dealings (such as any draft day moves).

yah agreed,
if we had waited, i am pretty sure we could have eeked out maybe a 2nd and a 5th or something along the lines, but we needed to get some cap space fast before everyone was gone. worked out for both. If the pats get knocked out and you guys happen to be in the playoffs ill be rootin for yah
