Shalise Manza Young of the Providence Journal first reported that the Patriots will host Springs on Sunday.

He’s getting old but he still plays at a pretty high level (at least statistically, and when he’s not out with injury). Depth role, or are they thinking starter?

I would say depth role

In the 2008 preseason, we carried 10 CB’s before cut day, so Belichick could be stacking the roster and will shake out the best fits during OTA’s and TC.
