On what his thoughts were about the trade:
"Personally, I think it’s shocking because you’ve been playing so many years for an organization. Had some success and doing your thing, but on the other side it’s a business. I had been telling my family members for a while; I just had a feeling. Then you kind of feel things out, you see how the organization is making moves throughout the offseason. You figure that something is going to shake, you just never know when, but when I got the call no bad blood, no hard feelings. It is what it is and I’m excited to be playing for the Eagles now."

Thanks for everything, Ellis!
I’m especially gonna miss his kick returns. He was always a threat to take it to the house (and I believe he still holds the longest kickoff return in history for 108 yards).
I liked Hobbs
and thought he’d have a terrific year having some support. Too bad he’s gone.
Keep the faith!
Good quote
Hobbs always spoke his mind, making him a bit more fun to read than the average player. It’s good to remember, that the players on the roster are human beings, too, and it must be really hard for non-elite players to see people brought in to take their jobs while fans and media are cheering because the team finally “shored up the secondary”.
I wish Hobbs the best, and barring a superbowl meeting with the Eagles it should even be risk free to do so!
bye bye
