Shots allegedly fired at Tom and Gisele's second wedding
There's not much on this right now, but shots were allegedly fired during Tom and Gisele's second wedding at her seaside compound in Mal Pais. Here's some details from Boston.com's The Names Blog:
Two freelance photographers who snapped pics of Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen's weekend wedding in Costa Rica say they were shot at by the supermodel's security personnel. INF, the photo agency that hired Rolando Aviles and Uri Cortez, said yesterday the two men "narrowly escaped death" when bullets shattered the back windshield of the duo's Suzuki jeep then hit the vehicle's front window. "Nobody was hurt, but it was very close," an INF spokesman told us today. Brady and Bundchen got married Saturday at the Brazilian beauty's seaside compound in Mal Pais. (The pair also got hitched at a Catholic church in Santa Monica Feb. 28.)

Yikes.
That could turn into trouble. What IS it about the NFL right now?

ridiculous
Will wait for the details to emerge before formulating a final opinion, but right now this just further puts a bad taste in my mouth about armed private security personnel. Gunfire? Really? Where in the logic process of a rational person is the connection made that would justify gunfire as an appropriate response to paparazzi?
Agree that it could turn into trouble. If these security guys aren’t properly trained and responsible, having them around really isn’t any different than an athlete who keeps an armed “entourage.” Will be really disappointed if there aren’t extenuating circumstances that led to the shooting, and even more disappointed if these aren’t local yahoo security guards but turn out to be a group regularly under the employ of Brady and Gisele :(
A freaking gossip photo. People were going to kill over gossip photos? Really? REALLY?
Really hoping this turns out to be something different than what it looks like right now.

Here’s an article with more details…
Now a proud annoyance on Stampede Blue, 18to88, Indy Football Report, and Phil B's blog.
Man, I need a life...
Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: In my bedroom, I have 3 footballs with both Mike Vanderjagt's and Gilbert Gardner's signatures on them. Interesting story. Maybe I'll tell you about it sometime.

The NY Post?
Seriously, I think I’ll wait for a more legitimate source.

Fine...
But I don’t believe that they are just making up quotes from the photographers. We’ll see…

I’m not doubting that those were the photographers’ quotes, I’m just saying there might be more to the story than what they’re saying. Maybe not, but we’ll see.

OK.
I misunderstood what you were implying there.
By the way, NFL Total Access is also reporting the same thing now (albeit they are crediting NY Post in their story.).

Not good
I don’t like the development of this story at all. At the very least it will be roaming the news cycle for a long time.
