Around SBN: The End Of Sabanball: Details, Barbarians, And Precision

"Hey, right now, like I said it's just a matter of getting healthy," Harrison tells Weinfuss. "When I'm healthy I can go anywhere and play football. I have enough confidence and enough smarts and enough experience to know that there's not many places where I can't play and be productive. I know I can still play football at a high level and we'll see.
"I don't think you ever lose the love of the game. I think 10 years from now I'll still feel like maybe I can go out there and play. Do I want to come back? If all things being equal, if I feel really good and I feel like I have the passion for it and if that's something that fits in my family plans, maybe."

I'd like to see him play again, but

it kind of sounds like if doesn’t get a TV spot or something like that, then maybe he’ll play again.

Speaking of which

Is it just me, or does he look like a natural on TV?

I’m a big Rodney fan, but I think he may be headed to our “shadow roster” the way Seau and Colvin are.

I do

I think he was great and the pregame superbowl show, even though I think deep down I think there was something Collinsworth must have said in the past about him because Rodney looked way to happy to give a couple of whacks.

Collinsworth was highly critical of the Patriots and Belichick about spygate

And you know how loyal Harrison is to his coach and his team.

I’ve gained more respect for Collinsworth since then because he acknowledges what he’s said in the past but doesn’t seem to hold any grudges against players or teams that cloud his every comment. He can move on — unlike Jamie Dukes, Marshall Faulk, Mark Schlereth and Tom Jackson to name a few off the top of my head, who just hammer away at the Patriots, grudgingly offer them a crumb of praise if something can’t be ignored, and always make sure to add a downside or warning that it won’t last to anything positive.

Keep the faith!
