So the three unsigned are Chung, McKenzie, and Ingram?

McKenzie’s going to be on IR anyway, so no reason to worry there.

What’s Ingram’s deal? His only shot at the roster is as long snapper, and we already have Hodel. If he isn’t in camp on time his chances of making the team start dropping, so I have to think he’s going to sign soon or not at all.

But we need Chung in camp. We just don’t have the depth we need at safety, and we need him to step into Rodney’s role before Tank gets hurt again.

chung is our 1st pick they do this all the time no real worry and as a 2nd round pick its not like he can break the bank with us

Interesting news on Chung

Chris Gasper: Chung reports on rookie date

The Globe has learned that rookie safety Patrick Chung, the Patriots’ top overall selection in the 2009 draft, is with the team in Foxborough today on the team’s rookie reporting date.

Chung’s reporting to training camp today means that he and the Patriots have be able to agree to terms on a contract.

The 5-foot, 11-inch, 212-pound Chung was the first of the Patriots’ four second-round picks, taken No. 34 overall. That was the pick the Patriots obtained from the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for quarterback Matt Cassel and outside linebacker Mike Vrabel.

The team’s veteran reporting date is Wednesday, with the first full-squad practices set for Thursday.
