Patriots trade Le Kevin Smith to Denver
According to Adam Schefter:
"Denver and New England are dealing. Denver just acquired DE LeKevin Smith from the Patriots. Don't know terms but know Broncos needed D help."
Alex Marvez (Fox Sports) reports Le Kevin Smith and a 2010 7th round pick were traded to Denver for a 2010 5th round pick.
"By acquiring Denver's fifth-round selection, the Patriots are assured of keeping their 2010 fourth-round pick. New England recently sent its 2010 third- and fourth-rounders to Oakland for linebacker Derrick Burgess. The trade, though, was made with the condition that a fifth-round pick could be substituted for the fourth-rounder if New England later acquired one. The Patriots traded their own 2010 fifth-round pick earlier this year to Tampa Bay for tight end Alex Smith."

Bubble player
I liked him, he was a hard worker, but without a roster spot open for him, at least we could get something in a trade.
Keep the faith!

I hear BB likes the 4-3 this year (I blame Pierre Woods) So that would make the DL
Ty Warren
Vince Wilfork
Richard Seymour
Jarvis Green
?

dont forget Burgess can play up on the line as well..
Most likely not every down.. Gotta add Brace and Pryor into that mix as well. Both have shown potential and improvement.. Plus they are younger too.. The downside to them is the fact of learning the playbook.. Smith had that as his upside and game experience.. Interesting trade off..

Thanks NE
Just the fact that as a Broncos fan I can say that you guys managed to get Al Davis to subsidize Denver’s defensive line makes me laugh.
Tis better not to throw it to the deep receiver but the open receiver.

You're welcome
But ever since we heard of the terms with Oakland, everyone knew that the Patritos woul get there hands on a fifth-round pick at one point.

It's always easy to laugh about Al Davis
…unless of course you’re a Raider’s fan.

From the looking I've done
I think all Raider’s fans realize Al Davis is a joke. Once proud and mighty, now just a poster child for Al-zheimers. I wonder if they intended to name it after him?

hilarious actually
a good deal all around – except I don’t see how Oakland benefits, except in getting rid of another good player, Burgess, that it didn’t want.
Keep the faith!
