New England Patriots Training Camp, Day 4 - Open Thread

It looks like at least three of us are going to training camp today: myself and patriotguy in the morning and Marima in the afternoon.  A reminder that SB Nation now supports mobile commenting, so if you happen to have a smartphone (Blackberry, iPhone, etc...), you can post from camp.

We have lots of folks who are remote and would love to hear what's going on, straight from the fans.  Please use this open thread as a place to leave your thoughts and comments.

what!

Please explain…was Brady on a slip-N-slide?

by Yardpenalty.com on Aug 2, 2009 2:44 PM EDT up reply actions

I found out it's a rookie ritual

Brady had the hose and was spraying the rookies as they slip-an-slide on the ground. Mike Reiss has some info on it.

5) Rookies – and special teams coach Scott O’Brien – slip and slide. The annual rookie slip-and-slide took place at the start of practice. Quarterback Tom Brady sprayed a hose on the far side of the field, creating a slick area that the rookies all slid their way through. One surprise came when special teams coach Scott O’Brien took the plunge as well.

Ya guys got me drooling.

Right now I’m living vicariously through you.

The more you know, the more you know that you don't know.

Oh, I was wrong

I don’t live a million miles away (it just seems like it).
It’s only 1388.84 miles. Hmmmm, road trip?

The more you know, the more you know that you don't know.

I drove to Super Bowl XXXVI

1589 miles. Yeah, we stayed in Baton Rouge…so the distance is a tad further than New Orleans.

by Danno11 on Aug 2, 2009 5:00 PM EDT up reply actions

Driving to the Super Bowl is one thing ...

Putting on that mileage for training camp, would put my poor wife over the edge. Even if I would have a better shot of getting an autograph from his Slotness.

You know that might be a good angle…. I’ll look into it.

The more you know, the more you know that you don't know.

But if I drove all that way and the practice was closed....

It’s more than my fragile psyche could take. I’d have to go all Bruce Lee on someone. No, it’s better for the team if I stay here. I … I owe it to them. Sniff….

The more you know, the more you know that you don't know.

Serves me right for bragging...

I did what you’re supposed to do and checked the website before heading over – today’s afternoon session is closed to the public. What’s up with that?!?

Keep the faith!
