What can be said.  The heart and soul of this defense for so many years.  They'll be much more to come, I'm sure.

bforce3 is, yet again, on top of things as well as sirpinochle for this fanpost.

Tedy you are truly a honorable human being

from the passion you play the game, to the tear jerking special about you and the kid with the same heart operation, you will be missed, but never forgotten because without you I wouldn’t be the Patriots fan I am today and we wouldn’t have those rings either. I think I speak for everyone that is a fan of the NFL, you are truly a great person.

It may be now..it may be later...later aint gonna be no use! Am I right Al? We got alot of angry guys in their black panthers, muslims, young lords, besides you average anti-socials. We gotta go in, am I right, clean their clocks!

When it's time, it's time.

God speed, Tedy. You’ve more than earned your place in Patriots history.

Thanks for everything Tedy

Tedy, you’ve been a class act from the first day you put on the uniform. Thanks for all the memories you’ve given us fans.

Thanks for the memories.

Thanks for everything. Not only were you a phenomenal player but, more importantly, you are and always have been, an incredible role model for not only children but for adults. Thank you for all you did for us now, take time with your wife and son’s and have yourself a wonderful life.

Good time to do it.

Better to retire on your own terms than anything more ignominous. Core part of three Superbowl teams. ’Nuff said, really.

to those who love to rock

we salute you

“when bruschi retired, a part of me died too. but now mayo, you’re the one. so do it. DO IT” (rocky 4 reference)

And Mayo got a FULL year next to Bruschi

to pick up tidbits and a partial year next to Seau to get insight. The torch has been passed.

The more you know, the more you know that you don't know.

Bruschi

Gonna miss you Tedy. I hope one day to see you on the Patriots’ sideline with a coach’s headset on; coordinating our defense. You are the greatest linebacker ever to wear the uniform.

never boring

Things sure never are boring in Patriots land. Away for the weekend and both O’Connell and Bruschi gone when I’m back.

It will be so strange to see the Patriots without Bruschi, who has been around forever. It was probably time to go, but it is still sad. Thanks for all the good memories and for being such a shining example of what can be accomplished when you fight through sickness and adversity.

Most emotional press conference i've ever seen

Belichick was all choked up, as was Bruschi, (as was I).

ESPN chose to cut off BB to switch to some NCAA scandal thing – I’m not sure because I switched channels until I found the press conference again on channel 4.

Keep the faith!

Good Luck Tedy

He will be missed like no other.

Maybe some one should go and order one of these http://www.personalizedsportsballs.com/Football-Coach-Gift-Idea.html for him
