Sunday Games - Open Thread
Whoooo hooooo! Football is back! Now I have an excuse not to do the lawn, repair the fence, work on the walkway. The best part? My wife's as much of a football nut as I am. Get the grill going, throw on some tips, have a few adult beverages, and watch some football. Our New England Patriots play tomorrow night against the Buffalo Bills (did I tell you I was going ;-)), but that's ok. I have a pretty good idea what I'm doing today.
Drop a few comments if you happen to be around. Love to hear from ya.

i find myself
…rooting against division rivals much more this year, as opposed to rooting just for the Pats’ success. Losing the division on a tiebreak last year still stings :)
Anyway, watching Atlanta vs. Miami right now. What’s everyone else watching?

I have Jets vs. Texans, too.
At least Atlanta is leading against Miami 16-0 so far. Jets are beating up on the Texans.

matt ryan looks a bit inconsistent right now. Some passes with good zip, some simple missed throws.

Dirty Sanchez!
Jets QB flagged for attempted low hit.
Couldn’t resist.
As Mr. Sloan always says, there is no "I" in team, but there is an "I" in pie. And there's an "I" in meat pie. Anagram of meat is team... I don't know what he's talking about. --Shaun of the Dead

Holy crap!!
Did you see that? 11 secs left, Stokley runs it in for a TD, runs parallel to the goal line to burn up the clock and then jumps in. Wow.

Left the couch once today...
…to pay the nice man who delivered our pizza.
Loving the sounds of the NFL on a Sunday with a side dish of a Sox doubleheader. Watched some Jets action, saw the Broncos insane ending, saw some Giants/Skins…Carolina/Eagles…the just-finished SF/AZ. Is it me or were there a lot of lopsided games? Time for the days highlights and then some GB/Bears.
Clearly my anticipation lies in tomorrow night – we’ll be tucked in some endzone seats – looking forward to seeing our boys in action!!!!!
…and now you’re updated on my day…

So assuming we're all watching SNF
I actually was at dinner for most of the 1st half. Apparently the Bears got a safety that I didn’t see. It looks like the Packers D is more or less shutting down the Bears offense if they couldn’t get any points.
I’m definitely gonna watch the rest of this game, and can’t wait for tomorrow! : )

Yep
Dom Capers, former defensive backs coach for NE and now DC for GB, has turned the Packers D into a force.
