Pat Patriot vs. Flying Elvis, should the New England Patriots switch?

Throwback-helmet_medium vs.  Flying-elvis-helmet_medium

Through the game threads and post game stories, there have been many suggestions about which helmet our boys should wear.  Now's your chance to be heard!  I'm sure Robert Kraft will stop by and take our educated and thoughtful opinion to heart before he makes a decision.  At any rate, vote away.

I like Pat the Patriot for the helmet

But I like the blue Flying Elvis Jerseys. I really liked when they switched colors (blue jerseys, silver helmets), but I miss Pat on the helmet.

Can’t we split them?

I like Pat, too

but my hesitation with the old helmets is the white base colour. Why? Well… whenever I see those white puffball mushroom things on the ground, I feel the urge to stomp them. And a Pats player with a white helmet on the ground would be just enough like one… I won’t continue that thought.

pat the patriot is 100 times better than the flying elvis… what are you people thinking?

nostagically I love Pat Patriot, and it was neat seeing them play in the old-school uniforms last night.

and I like seeing those magnets around with the original Pat on cars or pickup trucks. Heck, I even have a Pat Patriot t-shirt. To me though, the new flying elvis is better because it symbolizes the new Patriots. After all the turmoil, the Patriots new logo appeared when the team was entering it’s new ownership, stadium, and championship years. A whole new phase of team history and that’s why I like the Patriots wearing their current uniforms, with the new logo.

Keep the faith!

I know that may LOOK like Peyton Manning with a cheesy mustache

but it is really his cousin Todd Manning, who has excellent taste in beer.

That's a travesty

That moustache ought to earn a 15 yard penalty for roughing the passer.

YES!!! See my comment above for why.

That’s what I get for scrolling down the page vertically.

Very win!

And who says compromise has to be a bad thing?

Beer is good! And stuff!

you old timers

The Elvis may not be perfect, but it’s what won 3 super bowls

Tough one

I like the nostalgia angle with Pat Patriot, but I couldn’t help but think that I’m watching Tony Eason again. The Elvis is only ok, but the halcyon days of our team have been in these dark blue duds.

Pat vs. Elvis

I associate the Pat logo with a mixed bag. Some serious ass-kickings and some stunning upsets. You never new what team would show up.

Let’s stick with the Elvis logo. With it came success. In the meantime, I’ll be hoping this year’s remaining 3 games in the throwback uniforms won’t put my blood pressure level in the stratosphere.
