Nunn VS. Slater?
Out of the 2 which one do u think BB should keep? I know Slater got injured in last night game.. So maybe off to the IR list to make room for Nunn? I like what i have seen and heard from Nunn but dont think he would make it to the practice squad.. With the Browns, Broncos, and Jets in the lure for talent we let go.. What do u all think about it?

Matthew Slater
No question. Nunn had a good kick return last night and he’s made some nice catches, but I doubt he’d see the field with all of the wide receivers ahead of him. Slater is a part of every special teams unit and is probably our best lead blocker on kickoff returns. He’s caught a lot of crap for the penalties, but that’s a fixable issue. Reiss finally caught on and called him a special teams demon.
i say keep both
there’s no reason t cut both of them. if we had to, just put slater on IR and we don’t have t cut him.
but out of the 2, i like nunn, simply because of his talent at WR and special teams. slater is listed s a safety, but we have plenty of safety’s.
Belichick
attributed a few of Ellis Hobb’s big returns last year to Slater’s lead blocking, if I remember correctly. He may not take one home himself, but if he’s opening doors for others to, well, it’s a contribution.
I know, I know...
I know Belichick likes him and I know he’s been a notable lead blocker on special teams… I just can’t get past his bumbles that cost us the Steelers game, and seeing more of the same in preseason.
Keep the faith!
Forrest Gump?
They guy’s obviously quick, maybe someone should do all the catching and ball-handling for him, duct-tape the ball the the front of Slater’s jersey, point him in the right direction and give him a slap on the hindquarters.
Lets do it...
Up for the challenge? Sorry, could not resist that one it was funny. But agree the mistakes are kinda acceptable your rookie yr but this is yr two. Hes gotta improve. I still think Nunn would be an upgrade kinda to Aiken, Lewis, and Galloway.. I like all three of them, but they did not show anything in the preseason. But hello i gotta remember Cassel from last yr too. But think Nunn could help out on Special teams as well with his speed.. Who knows it will be interesting to see by 4pm tomorrow.
How quick is Nunn?
I don’t know if he went to the combine at any stage (I suspect not), so I wonder if there are any 40 times, etc, to go with him? Special teams seems to be one of the few places where the ability of a player to run 40 yards in a straight line is actually possible, so it’d be interesting to find out.
40 time of 4.63

that must be why no one wanted him
maybe that was for insurance purposes...
so that he never, ever ends up a Raider on an Al Davis team.
Keep the faith!
Stealing Al Davis draft picks
I wonder what the Pats could have traded O’Connell to the Raiders for if they had started spreading rumours that he runs the 40 in 4 flat? Wasted opportunities…
slater seems to mess up a lot. idk if im the only one to notice this or not. but for a guy whos supposed to return kicks, block and make tackles … he sure makes it look hard.
Yeah
Sucks.. He was one of the best recievers thru the preseason.. I agree i dont think he will but if he does. If it was me making those calls i would get him on there.. He deserves that if not more.
Still think
It would be an upgrade to Aiken and Slater.. But thats my opinion.. Sadly i don’t get to make the decisions on who makes the team.. But i can dream LOL…
I was thinking about that...
on first thought, I doubted he would too. But I can’t actually think of anyone who will pick him up. Everyone either has a solid, set of veteran WRs, who don’t need an undrafted newbie (like the Pats), or they’ve already got a crop of rookies who were selected in a draft that they’re banking on for production. He’s not experienced enough to beat out a vet WR, and he’s not young or gifted enough to beat out a 2009 draftee WR, so he might look unappealing to other teams.

hope you're right
but you bring up a good point in that Nunn would have to be on another team’s active roster for them to pick him up.
Keep the faith!
Nunn
Nunn did make it to the practice squad. I too didn’t think he would. He is going to be a player & I hope it’s for the PATS
